In this empty room
As it creeps closer to me
And touches my throat
With her ice cold fingers
I feel it deep in my bones as she touches my skin
Cold and smooth
Pale as alabaster
Lovely and deadly
As beautiful as a withering bloom
The color fading from a once vibrant life
Fading just as the sunset into the night
This is how death is
And her hand is close to me
And soon my life will fade as the sunset

Silver wings unfold
Trying to keep me
Steady to the ground
But up I fly
Into the clouds
Looking down to the earth
Tears falling down
A moon behind me
And stars all around
But the cold wind still spins me
And makes me spiral to the ground
Where the dirt mixes with my tears
And myself and the earth meet as one
I look to the sky above me
And cry out loud
For the wind has forsaken me
The shadows are all around
Stalking my soul like a panther in the dark
A whisper in the dark
Is all I have left
